Visual geographies between history and contemporaneity<\/strong>\u201d will be exhibited at the <strong>Dino Zoli Foundation in Forl\u00ec<\/strong><strong> from 19 October 2019 to 19 January 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, <strong>sponsored by DZ Engineering and the Dino Zoli Foundation,<\/strong> is curated by<strong> Gigliola Foschi and Nadia Stefanel<\/strong> with works created for the occasion by <strong>Alessandra Baldoni, Luca Gilli, Cosmo Laera, Luca Marianaccio, Lucrezia Roda, and Pio Tarantini, <\/strong>six Italian photographers who have spoken on behalf of the world of culture, history and wealth of the places that characterise our country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe six authors,\u201d explains <strong>\u00a0Nadia Stefanel<\/strong>, \u201cwere invited by DZ Engineering and the Dino Zoli Foundation, a cultural point of reference for the Dino Zoli Group, to photograph 12 historical and contemporary sites illuminated by DZ Engineering, from Castel del Monte and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia to the architectures of the chemical district of Ferrara and the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia. A commissioned work, deliberately entrusted to artists from different generations, which has become something different: each author has put their research and art into these shots, offering a cross section of a country that knows how to look to the future without forgetting its own history.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwelve places,\u201d adds <strong>Gigliola Foschi<\/strong>, \u201cinterpreted and narrated chasing a light that reveals, observed in the dilated time of twilight, the moment of change and intimacy suspended between day and night, between a declining natural light and an artificial light that advances and creates new relationships.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text 0=&#8221;&#8221;]The exhibition will also include numerous explanatory panels that illustrate the sites of interest from a historical, artistic, and architectural point of view, but also through the interventions and projects carried out by DZ Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope,\u201d conclude<strong> Monica Zoli and Roberto Grilli, <\/strong>respectively Managing Director and General Manager of DZ Engineering, \u201cthat the exhibition is able to arouse the interest of visitors, showing them how lighting can make a difference in enhancing different locations, from cathedrals to historic buildings, from football stadiums to international racetracks, from ports to industrial areas, to life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on<strong> Saturday 19 October at 6:00 pm<\/strong>, was created in collaboration with the <strong>Italian Embassy in Singapore, EuroCham, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (ICCS), the Emilia Romagna Region, the Apulia Region, the Museums of Apulia and the City of Forl\u00ec<\/strong>, with the support of <strong>Credem Bank, ELFI SPA, I Sabbioni<\/strong>. Open to the public from Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, from Friday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, closed Monday and holidays. Through its subsidiary DZE Asia Pte Ltd, DZ Engineering has recently acquired the realization of the Electronic Systems for the street circuit in Hanoi.<\/p>\n<p>DZ Engineering, part of the Dino Zoli Group, designs and manufactures integrated lighting, telecommunications and audio-visual systems, both in Italy and abroad. It offers the highest quality and hi-tech solutions, the result of 30 years of experience gained worldwide by the engineers and technicians who are part of the company. It operates both in the public and private sectors, ranging from cathedrals to historic buildings, from archaeological sites to old town centres, from football stadiums to international racetracks, from port areas to offshore platforms. It has had a branch in Singapore since 2011 with the task of creating the track lighting and communications systems for the Marina Bay circuit, where every year the Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place. In June 2018, DZ Engineering secured the service until 2021 by winning the international tenders. Photographer since 2000, she has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. Her most recent exhibitions include: \u201cAtlas&#8221;, curated by Gigliola Foschi, Red Lab Gallery, Milan, 2019; &#8220;Senza polvere senza peso&#8221; [Powderless weightless], Photographic Culture Laboratory, Citt\u00e0 della Pieve (Perugia), 2018; &#8220;Atlas&#8221;, edited by Sabrina Raffaghello, SR Contemporary Art, Berlin, 2018. She has given seminars and workshops on the relationship between photography and literature in schools and universities for many years. Her works are part of public and private collections (Donata Pizzi Collection, Macro Museum in Rome, Civic Museum of Camerino, Palazzo della Penna Perugia, Fondation Charles Donwai pour l\u2019Art Contemporain in Abidjan). In 2018, her works were selected for the Arteam Cup prize finals with an exhibition curated by Livia Savorelli and Matteo Galbiati at the Zoli Foundation (Forl\u00ec) and in 2017 the Fabbri Award, curated by Carlo Sala, with an exhibition at the Francesco Fabbri Foundation in Pieve di Soligo (Treviso).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luca Gilli<\/strong> (1965) lives and works in Cavriago (Reggio Emilia). His works are part of numerous public and private collections (Biblioth\u00e8que Nationale de France and the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts, both in Paris, Mus\u00e9e de la Photographie in Charleroi; Kunstbibliothek Berlin; Mus\u00e9e d&#8217;Art Moderne et Contemporain in Strasbourg, Mus\u00e9e Reattu Arles, Thessaloniki Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki, Civic Gallery of Modena, etc.). His many publications include: \u201cBlank&#8221; (2011) with an essay by Quentin Bajac, and &#8220;Incipit&#8221; (Skira, 2016) edited by Walter Guadagnini. His works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad. His most recent solo exhibitions include: \u201cDi\/Stanze&#8221; curated by Matteo Bergamini in 2018 at the Diocesan Museum of Milan and &#8220;Sinestesie&#8221;, edited in 2019 by Angela Madesani at the Antonio and Carmela Calderara Foundation in Vacciago, both in collaboration with Paola Sosio Contemporary Art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cosmo Laera<\/strong> (Alberobello, 1962) lives and works between Milan and Alberobello (Apulia). He started his photographic career in the \u201880s and has exhibited in numerous festivals and museums in Italy and abroad. His latest exhibitions include: \u201cViandanti del Sud\u201d Wayfarers of the South], Pino Pascali Foundation, Polignano a Mare (BA) and \u201cGibellina, 50 +1: l\u2019Attesa\u201d [Gibellina, 50 +1: the Wait], Orestiadi Foundation, Gibellina (TP), both in 2019.\u00a0 Along with his photographic research, where the relationship between vision and territory is central, he is also a curator, cultural promoter, and teacher.\u00a0 From 2003 to 2012 he was, for example, artistic director of the festival &#8220;Corigliano Calabro Photography&#8221; and, since 2016, he has been the director of the &#8220;Matera European Photography&#8221;. From 2013 to 2017 he was director of studies of the School of Photography and Cinematography F.project in Bari. Since 2006 he has been teaching photography at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan, and Bari. His work is represented by the Heillandi gallery of Lugano and the Monopoli Gallery in Milan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luca Marianaccio<\/strong> (Agnone, 1986) lives and works in Pescara. In 2016 he was one of the winners of the 18th Aldo Nascimben of Treviso Award. His book &#8220;Spin-off&#8221; (Design and Editing: Kaspar Hauser, 2017) obtained a special mention in 2018 at the Marco Bastianelli Prize in Rome and at the Unveil&#8217;d Photobook Award in London. His work &#8220;404 Not Found\u201d won an award and was exhibited at the Riaperture Fotofestival in Ferrara, at the Young Artists Award of the San Fedele Gallery in Milan (both in 2018) and the European Photography Festival in Reggio Emilia (2019). He was one of the winners of Unpublished Photo 2019 at the 29 Arts in Progress gallery in Milan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucrezia Roda<\/strong> (1992 Erba) inaugurated her first exhibition in 2016 with the solo exhibition &#8220;STEEL-LIFE&#8221;, a research into the world of the metal industry and metal as a raw material for transformation, which continued in 2018 with &#8220;ABOUT METAL (about me)&#8221; , a project that consists of videos, texts, and images. She exhibits at the MIA Photo Fair (Milan) and is one of the RaM Sarteano prize winners (2018). In 2018, she was one of the finalists of the Arteam Cup prize. In 2019 she won the &#8220;AIF 2019 Award &#8211; New Photography&#8221;, awarded by AIF &#8211; Italian Association of Photo &amp; Digital Imaging &#8211; as an emerging author. Also in 2019 she participated in the exhibition (with Gianluca Patti) &#8220;Dialoghi in superficie\u201d [Dialogues on the surface], curated by Livia Savorelli, at Palazzo del Parco, Diano Marina (IM) and the exhibition &#8220;STEEL-LIFE, la Materia Immortale\u201d [STEEL-LIFE, the Immortal Material], by Luigi Erba and Barbara Cattaneo, at Torre Viscontea, Lecco.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pio Tarantini<\/strong>, born in Torchiarolo in Salento in 1950, lives and works in Milan. He participated in the architectural and environmental heritage project (\u201cArchivio dello Spazio\u201d [Space Archives], 1987-1997) of the Province of Milan and has exhibited his work in numerous public and private spaces in Italy and abroad. His many projects dedicated to Salento include: \u201cLecce Barocca&#8221;, il Diaframma Gallery, Milan, 1984; \u201cIl passato e i pensieri\u201d [The past and thoughts], Spazio Immagine, Bari, 1988; &#8220;L\u2019Ombra del vero\u201d [The shadow of the truth], Fotografia Italiana Arte Contemporanea Gallery, Milan, 2003 and &#8220;Sere a Sud-Est\u201d [Evenings in the southeast], exhibited in many venues over the years. He has published more than a dozen monographs and his works are held in various collections (CSAC in Parma, Museum of Contemporary Photography in Cinisello Balsamo, Alinari Collection, etc.).
