Resides and works in between Milan and Alberobello, Italy.

Photographic research, where the relationship between vision and territory is central, has been accompanied by a wide-ranging activity as curator, culture promoter and teacher. Since 2006 he has taught Photography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan and Bari. Since 2016 he has been the director of Matera European Photography.

The Aragonese bastion dating back to the 16th century was built after the demolition of the medieval church dedicated to Saints John and Paul. Through the entrance at the foot of the bastion, obtained inside a gunboat, an archaeological itinerary allows us to witness over 4000 years of the area’s history of the, from Prehistory to the Middle Ages. The development of the Complex located at the Lungomare that takes its name from the Emperor Augustus began in 2014 with the path of lights and narration that leads to the discovery of the history of the Bastion.

The intervention of DZ Engineering consisted of the improvement of the interiors, the museum exhibitors and the courts of the monumental complex, creating ad hoc lighting fixtures using LED technology with a high colour rendering index.

The company has also created two multimedia videos that have enriched the educational contents of the Museum. Lighting and multimedia systems are managed by the patented Digilux® VM 3000 proprietary system.

Abbey of San Leonardo in Lama Volara of Siponto, Manfredonia, Italy, 12th century

It is an ancient complex dating back to the 12th century consisting of the Church, the Monastery and the Hospital which will soon host the San Leonardo museum. The abbey church is an admirable example of Apulian Romanesque architecture; of great importance is the north portal, facing the Gargano.

The intervention of DZ Engineering concerned the internal lighting of the Church, the Monastery and the external areas of the Abbey. A project that required a careful study in the ad hoc creation of lighting fixtures for the functional lighting of the common areas and for the enhancement and use of the spaces of the Abbey without dazzling effects.

Surrounded by mighty walls, which for many centuries have protected the local populations from enemy attacks, the archaeological park offers a long and fascinating journey through precious finds from the Roman, early Christian and medieval periods.

DZ Engineering has realized the lighting system to enhance the boundary walls of La Cittadella archaeological site, the Antiquarium and the pedestrian entrance path.

The internal and external lighting systems are managed by the patented Digilux® VM 3000 proprietary system; also profiles with RGBW 45W LED source have been installed to regulate and dim the light emission (as in the scenic area) of the walls.
